Job summary

You will operate and clean a variety of standard kitchen equipment using gas, electric, steam or microwave heat sources, while maintaining sanitation standards. The role emphasizes safe cooking, proper food storage, and quick, accurate food preparation to support a busy restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Performs a full range of simple cooking of items that require little to no processing.
• Preps foods by peeling, chopping, cutting, grinding, and pureeing.
• Operates and cleans standard kitchen equipment using gas, electric, steam or microwave heat sources.
• Maintains a clean workspace and follows sanitation procedures.
• Ensures foods are properly cooked and stored at correct temperatures to prevent bacteria growth.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
