*Responsibilities*

Job Summary: This role involves leading food preparation for patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring safe cooking techniques, compliance with dietary needs, and adherence to food safety laws. Supports quality control through recipe adherence and food quality.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare and serve food according to menu and dietary guidelines, using appropriate kitchen equipment. Modify recipes for allergies.
  • Maintain food quality standards for appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation.
  • Perform cleaning duties to ensure sanitation and cleanliness.
  • Label and store food and equipment properly per regulations.

Perform related duties as required.

*Qualifications*

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, plus four years of food service experience; two years in hospital nutrition.

*Knowledge and Abilities:* Knowledge of food storage, preparation, sanitation, menu planning, food safety, and kitchen maintenance. Ability to communicate effectively in English, use office and kitchen equipment, and maintain effective working relationships.

*Licensure:* Washington State Food Handler Permit upon hire.

*Pay Range:* $22.30 - $30.85/hour.
