Job summary

Koelsch Communities in Bloomingdale, IL, is seeking a skilled Cook to join our Culinary Department at Lakeview Memory Care on a part-time basis. Earn between $17 and $18 per hour, dependent on experience, with benefits for part-time staff including health, dental, vision, life, and other insurances.

You will prepare nutritious, appetizing meals, store and rotate food per guidelines, keep the kitchen safe and clean, and assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience with food preparation, production and plate presentation.
• Knowledge of dietary needs and food handling guidelines.
• Must pass drug screening and criminal background check as required.

You enjoy providing outstanding service and producing high quality nutrition. The Cook’s role is preparing and serving attractive and tasty meals for the community.

What you'll do:

• Ensure food is prepared in a nutritional, appetizing fashion, and presented in an attractive manner per the menu and schedule
• Properly store, date, and rotate food per food handling guidelines
• Keep the environment safe and clean
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• All requirements related to the food handlers’ certificate per state requirements
• Knowledge of food preparation, production and plate presentation
• Must be drug-free and submit to a drug screening upon hire and routinely
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
• Knowledge of special dietary needs
