Job Summary

This position is responsible for the preparation of all meals for patient services, the café, and catering. It involves following all applicable recipes or procedures when cooking, monitoring food temperature, storage, rotation, and workstation sanitation to ensure meals are prepared according to hospital safety standards. Additional duties related to food service or safety may be performed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent. In lieu of a high school diploma, two years of professional cook experience are accepted.
• Two years of experience in a related role.
• Ability to apply elementary math functions.
• Ability to work well under time constraints.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed, easy-to-follow written or oral instructions using common sense.
• Clear and distinct speaking skills with appropriate pauses, emphasis, and pronunciation.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServSafe Certification.

Additional Information
