Job Summary

This position is responsible for the preparation of all meals for patient services, the café, and catering. The cook follows all applicable recipes or procedures, monitors food temperature, storage, rotation, and workstation sanitation to ensure meals are prepared according to hospital safety standards. Additional duties related to food service or safety may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or Foreign equivalent. Two years of professional cook experience accepted in lieu of H.S. diploma.
• Two years of experience in a cooking environment.
• Ability to apply elementary math functions.
• Ability to work well under time constraints.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed, easy-to-follow written or oral instructions.
• Clear and distinct speech with appropriate pauses, emphasis, and pronunciation.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServSafe Certification.

Salary Range

The current salary range for this position is $21.00 to $28.88.
