Job summary

Kohler Co. in Kohler, WI is seeking a part-time Cook II in the Employee Dining Room. This onsite role requires working 5:00 pm–10:00 pm on both weekdays and weekends, across multiple kitchen stations and outlets.

You will train Cook I’s, handle inventory, develop daily specials, and ensure safety, sanitation, and cost control while serving resort guests. Applicants must have sanitation training and culinary experience, with exposure to guest-facing activities.

Qualifications

• Assist in training Cook I & II in culinary skills, safety and sanitation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of dietary needs and safe food handling.
• Gain exposure to other stations and departments within the resort.
• Ensure checklists and prep lists are followed by all cooks.
• Assist in monthly inventory when needed.
• Work across multiple outlets/resort locations.
• Develop daily specials or menu additions with trends in mind.
• Aid in using shrink to maximize profitability.
• Develop recipes to maintain margins.
• Train tastings and samples with other departments.
• Conduct customer education sessions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to standards for restaurants, banquets, and a la carte services.
• Assist in training of Cook I’s and II’s in culinary skills, safety, and sanitation practices.
• Maintain recipes and costs, and ensure margins.
