Job summary

VOA-Texas is seeking a Cook II in Fort Worth, TX. The role prepares menu items, maintains a clean kitchen, attends trainings, and ensures proper portion control for meals served to residents/clients.

The position offers reliable hours with a Sunday 6a-6p and Monday-Thursday 9a-4p shift. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, two years cooking for large groups, and a Food Handlers certificate. Valid Texas driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years cooking for more than 90 clients.
• Food Handlers certificate required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License, clear MVR, and ability to be insured.

Responsibilities

• Prepares menu items according to the published menu guide.
• Maintains kitchen/storage areas in a healthy, clean, sanitary and organized manner.
• Attends in-service training as required.
• Ensures proper portion control is utilized.
• Ensures dining room and service line are cleaned after each meal.
