Job summary

Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment is seeking a dedicated prep cook/line cook to support all Food & Beverage venues. You will prep, cook, store, and maintain a clean kitchen while following safety regulations and brand standards.

The role requires basic English communication, 1 year of cooking experience, and the ability to learn culinary methods in a fast-paced casino environment. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are common.

Qualifications

• Education/experience: High school degree or GED; 1 year as a cook or prep cook or equivalent.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background check, gaming license.
• Ability to obtain Food Handlers card and TIPS certification.
• Clear reading/writing in English; strong guest service.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares foods per menu and demand.
• Uses proper knife skills and cooking techniques.
• Reads and follows standardized recipes for all venues.
• Maintains clean, organized, sanitized work areas.
• Communicates with Assistant Sous Chef and team.
• Ensures par levels and stock levels are adequate.
• Ensures venues are ready to open on time; maintains storage areas.
