Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast is seeking a Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare breakfast, entrées, and desserts, cook to recipe specifications, and ensure proper food handling and station setup. You’ll work with servers to coordinate orders, maintain cleanliness, and train new cooks.

High school diploma and restaurant experience are preferred; lifting up to 50 pounds is required. The role emphasizes safe food practices, proper portioning, and efficient work during busy service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and two years experience in a full service restaurant preferred or an equivalent combination thereof.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Knowledge of weights, measures and recipe yield.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Apprentice for Certification preferred.
• Knowledge and ability to use all kitchen tools and equipment. Ability to identify all products used in kitchen operation. Ability to recognize spoiled or questionable products. Ability to read, comprehend and execute recipes.
• Must be able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Provides fast, friendly, professional and responsive customer service to culinary team members and guests.
• Greets and makes guests feel welcome at their station.
• Prepares food items per guest order including breakfast items, entrees and desserts.
• Cooks to specifications and handles, stores and rotates food per health standards.
• Coordinate completion of menu items with server.
• Set up stations for meal periods and maintain cleanliness; stock coolers and storage areas.
• Assist in training new Banquet Cooks.
