Job summary

Vi at Aventura is seeking a Cook to prepare all types of food and maintain a clean, safe work area in a full-time role in Florida. You will assist with receiving and stocking deliveries and support kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.

Candidates should have prior experience in high-quality restaurant settings, basic knife skills, and the ability to operate kitchen equipment. A Food Handler certificate is preferred where required.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-quality restaurant, country club, hotel or senior living company preferred.
• Basic knife skills.
• Ability to handle kitchen equipment.
• Use a POS system.
• Food Handler certificate preferred.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain Food Handler certificate, if required.

Responsibilities

Cook

Assist in preparing all types of food while maintaining a safe, clean and sanitary work area. You will also assist with receiving and stocking deliveries using proper rotational practices. May assist kitchen attendant as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience within a high-quality restaurant, country club, hotel or senior living company preferred.


• Basic knife skills


• Ability to handle kitchen equipment


• Use a Point of Sale (POS) system


• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred


• Possess or be willing and able to obtain Food Handler certificate, as required.


• Must possess a valid and current driver's license, where applicable.
