Job summary

IHOP is hiring for a Cook+ role reporting to the General Manager. The position requires punctuality, clean uniform, and readiness to greet customers with a smile while preparing meals to IHOP standards.

Applicants should be able to work as part of a team, understand the menu, and follow safety and cash-security policies. The role offers both part-time and full-time availability with benefits such as health insurance and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Work as part of a team and help in other areas if needed.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time in a clean and complete proper uniform.
• Greet all customers with a smile and a verbal greeting, Good Morning or Welcome to IHOP.
• Prepare food in a timely manner to IHOP standards.
• Complete the position checklist while stocking and preparing the unit for the next shift.
• Keep the work area clean at all times using all tools provided by the manager.
• Report safety concerns and customer service issues to the manager immediately.
• Know the menu and daily features and ensure they are cooked and presented correctly.
• Understand the duties of coworkers to maximize teamwork.
• Follow safety food handling, cash security, and restaurant policies.
• Perform prepping and cleaning duties as directed by supervisor.
• Control waste and portions to improve food cost.
• Communicate effectively with other team members and maintain a positive attitude.
