Job summary

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) is hiring Cook I and Cook II to support kitchen and food service operations, including meal preparation, menu implementation, inventory management and staff training for dietary and cultural needs. Primary work location is the Yeshjesh T’uh facility in Anchorage, with potential coverage at other locations as needed.

There are two levels offering progressive responsibilities; progression depends on demonstrated ability.

Qualifications

• 2. Alaska Food Worker Card or current Food Service Worker’s permit.
• 1 year of experience in general food service environment.
• For Cook II: Associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent, or 3 years in a related setting; First Aid/CPR within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Support kitchen and food service operations including meal preparation and delivery.
• Implement menus, manage inventory and assist purchasing.
• Train kitchen staff and enforce food handling and sanitation guidelines.
