Job description

Grande Oaks Golf Club, located in Davie, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full‑Time Cook I! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality‑focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Prepare food items following recipes, portion control, food quality, freshness, and plate presentation to ensure consistency with portion sizes and cooking methods
  • Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk‑in coolers, and all storage areas to ensure the highest sanitary standards
  • Follow safety regulations and report injuries or any unsafe conditions and work practices to ensure safe kitchen operation
  • Use the product labeling system to label and date all raw and prepped food products using the F.I.F.O. method to ensure proper rotation
  • Follow sanitation requirements, safety, accident, and emergency policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all state, local, and Club laws
  • Assist the chef in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance and observe personal cleanliness rules at all times
  • Set up, maintain, and break down prep cook station
  • Requisition items needed to produce menu items
  • Adhere to state and local health and safety regulations
  • Cover, date, and neatly store all leftover products that are reusable
  • Maintain the highest sanitary standards
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by supervisors or managers
Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience as a cook within a fine dining establishment, or equivalent training in culinary arts from an accredited institution
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Food Handler Certificate required
  • Prior experience at a private club and/or resort preferred
Physical Demands

Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, or bend for the duration of shift (at least 8 hours). Role involves balancing, climbing, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive movement, sitting, standing, twisting, and bending.

Work Environment

This is a safety sensitive position. Environmental hazards include heights and electrical hazards.
