Job summary

MGM Resorts International's Aria’s Convention and Banquets in Las Vegas seeks a Cook Helper to support the culinary team and create memorable dining experiences for guests.

You will handle requisitions, maintain knowledge of food products, assist with kitchen operations, and help the team turn every banquet into a WOW moment. Must be 18+, have 6+ months of experience, and work on-call shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• 6+ months of prior relevant experience, including basic food preparation preferred.
• Work on call varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area
• Maintain solid knowledge of food products
• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment
• Regularly run for food and restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
• Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
• Assist the pantry worker, cook, master cook and chef as needed in execution of service
• Work as a team, assist guests and employees with their needs and inquiries
• Perform other job-related duties as requested

As a Cook Helper at Aria’s Convention and Banquets, you will play a key role in bringing unforgettable dining experiences to life. With your knowledge of food products and passion for service, you will support the culinary team while creating memorable WOW moments for every guest. Your warm smile and attention to detail will help turn each banquet into an experience guests will remember long after their stay.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Ensure requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area
• Maintain solid knowledge of food products
• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment
• Regularly run for food and restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
• Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
• Assist the pantry worker, cook, master cook and chef as needed in execution of service
• Work as a team, assist guests and employees with their needs and inquiries
• Perform other job-related duties as requested

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be 18 years old or older
• 6+ months of prior relevant experience, including basic food preparation preferred
