MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas is seeking a Master Cook to lead food preparation under direction of the Chef. You will help create WOW experiences for guests with great service, a welcoming smile, and a focus on quality.

The position requires Culinary skills and flexibility for on-call shifts, including weekends and holidays. Starting rate is $27.7721 per hour, with opportunities to grow within a premier hospitality group.

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of prior relevant experience required.
• 2+ years of prior relevant experience preferred.
• Work on call varied shifts, to include weekend and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Follow methods of food preparation, portion size, sauces, and garnishing as prescribed by the Chef.
• Set-up workstation and operate a specific station according to pars.
• Evaluate cooked food for quality, flavor, and appearance by taste and smell.
• Drive the CRM system to ensure orders are handled correctly.
• Maintain health and safety standards and proper holding temperatures with thermometers.

THE JOB:

As a Master Cook, you will be responsible for food preparation directed by Chef. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. THE STARTING RATE:

$27.7721

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Follow methods of food preparation, cooking, portion size, mixing of sauces and garnishing of foods to ensure food is prepared in an approved manner as prescribed by the Chef, Executive Sous Chef and Sous Chef
• Set-up workstation based on pars established by Chef, Executive Sous Chef and Sous Chef, follow station set-up sheet, and operate a specific station
• Evaluate cooked food before serving for quality flavors and appearance by taste and smell
• Drive the Customer Relations Management system by ensuring orders are handled correctly
• Comply with occupational, health and safety standards, ensure food is stored and kept at proper holding temperatures through the use of thermometers
• Complete closing requirements directed by Chef, Executive Sous Chef and/or Sous Chef
• Delegate tasks to other job classifications as instructed by chef

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
• 1+ years of prior relevant experience required
• 2+ years of prior relevant experience preferred
• Work on call varied shifts, to include weekend and holidays
