Schedule: Two available options:
Wednesday-Saturday, 11:00 am - 9:30 pm; Sunday-Tuesday off
Sunday-Tuesday, 11:00 am - 9:30 pm; Wednesday-Saturday off
This can be a 12-month position or a 9-month position with a 3-month hiatus (mid-June through August and 2 weeks in December). A 15% shift differential applies to 2nd shift.

Position Purpose

Under close supervision, assists with food preparation for daily menus and catered events. Works in various kitchen areas, receiving on-the-job training in food service, sanitation, and equipment use and cleaning.

Required Qualifications - Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Six months of relevant food preparation experience or the equivalent

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Preferred experience in institutional food service
• Ability to pass ServSafe and Allertrain trainings

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleanliness procedures and sanitation regulations
• Familiarity with cooking methods and following recipes
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work varied shifts including overtime
• Completion of Hazard Communication training prior to work
