We are hiring immediately for a temporary HELPER COOK position at Kickemuit Middle School, 151 State Street, Bristol, RI 02809. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Temporary, Monday through Friday, 6:45 am to 2:15 pm. More details will be provided upon interview.

Requirements: Previous food service experience is required.

Pay Range: $19.55 to $20.05 per hour.

Job Summary

This role involves assisting in the preparation and cooking of various food items, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Read menus to estimate food requirements and procure ingredients.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards.
• Adjust oven and equipment temperatures as needed.
• Measure, mix, and cook ingredients, including baking, roasting, and steaming.
• Test food for quality, carve meats, and prepare garnishes.
• Handle fruits and vegetables, butcher seafood, and bake bread or pastries as instructed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area.
• Interact courteously with customers and coworkers.
• Ensure compliance with service standards and inventory procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
