Responsibilities

You will prepare foods for patients, staff, and guests, and may assist with general cleaning of the cooking and eating areas. In the absence of the Manager, the Cook supervises the dietary staff, ensuring adherence to facility and departmental policies, proper sanitation, safety, and infection control policies.

• Accept and understand both verbal and written instructions.
• Provide high-quality food preparation and service.
• Clean and maintain equipment to meet department standards.
• Maintain high standards of food quality and portion control.
• Show willingness to assist with various tasks as needed.
• Take initiative to identify problems and implement positive, sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• One (1) year of cooking experience required.

Preferred Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary Arts degree (preferred).
• Completion of a state or local food safety training course (preferred).
• Healthcare experience (preferred).
