As a Vitality Living Cook, you will impact lives by:

  1. Review menus and Daily Food Production Records for instructions.
  2. Prepare meals that are nutritious, appetizing, and attractive according to company menus.
  3. Adhere to proper procedures for covering, dating, labeling, and storing food promptly.
  4. Clean the kitchen after meals according to the cleaning schedule, including preparation and service areas, pots and pans, kitchen surfaces, walls, and floors.
  5. Attend and participate in onboarding, annual training, in-services, and team member meetings as requested.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Services Director or Sous Chef.

  1. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  2. Have two years of experience in institutional or full-service restaurant cooking.
  3. Demonstrate effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
  4. Maintain food handler permits and any other certifications required by state or provincial regulations.
  5. Understand food safety procedures (e.g., temperature safety), sanitation measures, and storage techniques.
  6. Meet health-related requirements of the state or province.
