Join to apply for the PREP COOK (FULL TIME) role at Flik Hospitality Group

We are hiring immediately for a full-time PREP COOK position.

Location: United Club - United Polaris Lounge, Newark, NJ 07114. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; Friday through Thursday, 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Prior culinary experience is preferred.

Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available

Pay Rate: $24.25 per hour.

Job Summary

Prepares food and serves customers in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
2. Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
3. Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets. Taste completed meals to ensure quality.
4. Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use.
5. Store, label, and date all food items according to policy, following HACCP guidelines.
6. Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs.
7. Comply with health and sanitation regulations and procedures.
8. Take and prepare customer orders requiring short preparation time.
9. Serve customers efficiently and courteously.
10. Complete orders from steam tables and grills, serving customers at multiple stations.
11. Use approved recipes and standards to ensure quality, proper temperatures, and portion control.
12. Operate and clean equipment after each use.
13. Store, label, and date all food items.
14. Follow HACCP guidelines for food safety.
15. Resolve customer concerns.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.
