Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, maintain quality and presentation, and ensure sanitation standards are met.

You will work closely with staff to manage supplies, support residents, and provide friendly customer service while complying with safety policies and dietary requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook or in food preparation preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Effective communication with residents, staff, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• May need sanitation and safety training course.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep the kitchen clean.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent service.
• All other duties as assigned.
