An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing meals for patients and the cafeteria, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. Performs all functions related to preparing all foods for meal service for patients and cafeteria. This includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, all meats, vegetables, modified diets, special functions, and other food items as directed.
Education/Licensure/Certifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience
Food preparation experience in a high-volume setting preferred. Supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities
Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to solve problems independently. Knowledge of and ability to follow standards of federal, state, and regulatory agencies, including JCAHO, for sanitation, food preparation, and handling. Knowledge of cooking methods, procedures, safe food handling techniques, and all kitchen equipment. Ability to follow written recipes and properly identify patients while maintaining confidentiality.
