Overview

Performs all functions related to preparing foods for meal service for patients and cafeteria, including breakfast, lunch, supper, meats, vegetables, modified diets, and special functions as directed.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Education/Licensure/Certifications: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Food preparation experience in a high-volume setting preferred; supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Additional Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication and customer service skills required; strong organizational skills; ability to solve problems independently; knowledge of sanitation standards, food preparation, handling, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment; ability to follow written recipes; ability to properly identify patients and maintain confidentiality.
