Food City in Knoxville is seeking a Food Service Associate to support daily operations with a customer-first mindset. You will greet customers, provide prompt service, and help prepare Food Service items per guidelines while maintaining hygiene and a friendly atmosphere.

Responsibilities include grilling, slicing, stocking, and ensuring proper packaging and weights, with opportunities to cross-train in multiple areas. On-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Service experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or written instructions, perform routine tasks, and interact with others daily.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to follow time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service to support the store mission.
• Maintain a positive, friendly atmosphere through teamwork and flexibility.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service with a customer-first approach.
• Prepare all food for Food Service per manual guidelines and handle grill orders.
• Slice meats and cheeses; rotate products and ensure correct weights/labels.
• Follow Food Safety program; keep workstation clean and organized.
• Assist in ordering and stocking product; assist with self-service packaging compliance.
