Job summary

Food City in Tennessee is seeking a Food Service Associate to provide friendly, fast service in a fast-paced environment. You will help prepare food items, assemble grill orders, slice meats and cheeses, and keep workstations clean and compliant with safety standards.

Responsibilities include assisting with stock rotation, following the Food Safety program, and supporting daily operations. This role offers team-based collaboration and opportunities to learn multiple areas of Food City operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food service experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and deliver courteous service.
• Prepare food for the Food Service department per guidelines.
• Prepare grill orders and slice meats/cheeses.
• Maintain clean workstation and rotate stock as needed.
• Follow Food Safety program and maintain correct weights/ingredients.
• Assist in ordering product and supplies needed for daily operation.
