Job summary

Food City in Rogersville, TN is seeking a Food Service Associate to support the Food Service department with friendly, customer-first service and efficient food preparation. You will greet customers, prepare and slice foods, manage grill orders, and help keep the area clean and organized.

The role involves following the Food Safety program, assisting in stocking, and cross-training across multiple areas to meet store needs. Training and teamwork are emphasized in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Service experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine tasks.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, courteous customer service at all times.
• Prepare all food for the Food Service department per guidelines.
• Prepare grill orders.
• Slice meats and cheeses.
• Keep workstation neat and clean and manage washing dishes.
• Assist in ordering product and supplies for daily operation.
• Assist in ensuring proper weights and ingredients for self-service products.
• Food Service Associates should expect cross-training in multiple areas.
