Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cook for its Bowling Green location. The role focuses on preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting hot and cold items across meal periods and events, following Sodexo’s culinary standards.

The position requires strong teamwork, food safety discipline, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Cook I, you’ll help maintain a clean workstation, support the dining experience, and adapt to client requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current standards to ensure high-quality food service.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, cooking, and serving items.
• Estimate food requirements and check production to plan production and requisition supplies.
• Significant walking or mobility.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Attend shifts on time and perform duties as assigned.
