Position SummaryThe Cook prepares and presents food in accordance with standards established by the Executive Chef, supporting event and performance food service while maintaining quality, portion, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.Essential FunctionsAssist with daily kitchen operations, production needs, food preparation methods, and presentation standards as directed by Hospitality & Concessions Management.Prepare food, including specialty items and sauces, according to established recipes, preparation methods, portion standards, and garnishing requirements to support quality and food-cost controls.Maintain sanitation, food-safety, and workplace-safety standards in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal requirements and established department procedures.Support food service for performances and events, including kitchen operations and premium lounges, bring prepared foods to Front of House areas for distribution, and assist other kitchen team members as needed.Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and hazard-free work area and comply with established uniform, dress, and personal hygiene standards.Attend required meetings and training to support effective communication and coordination of Food and Beverage Department activities.Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilitiesn/aCore CompetenciesCustomer Focus – Deliver responsive, courteous service that creates a positive experience.Teamwork – Collaborate effectively to achieve departmental and organizational goals.Accountability – Take ownership of work, follow through on commitments, and demonstrate sound judgment.Knowledge and AbilitiesMaintain a physical presence at designated work locations, maintaining regular attendance, punctuality and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and events as needed.Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.Follow established recipes, preparation methods, portion controls, presentation standards, and sanitation procedures.Use hands and fingers regularly to handle, feel, and reach and perform work requiring standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods.Lift and carry at least 20 pounds.Possess the close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth-perception vision necessary to perform assigned food-preparation duties safely and accurately.Work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced event environment.Desired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Five (5) years of food preparation experience preferred.
