Care Initiatives’ Atlantic Specialty Care in Atlantic, IA is hiring a Cook for evenings shifts. Join a 90-bed skilled nursing community and help prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary guidelines while supporting residents’ comfort and dignity.

As a Cook, you will contribute to menu planning, prepare and serve meals, ensure safe food handling, and build positive relationships with residents. Experience in healthcare dietary settings is a plus, and training in food safety is provided.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.
• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to menu planning and meal preparation, meeting nutritional guidelines and resident preferences.
• Prepare and serve meals that promote comfort, satisfaction, and quality of life.
• Ensure meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and attractively presented in accordance with dietary requirements and food safety standards.
• Develop positive, respectful relationships with residents by engaging with them and incorporating feedback into meal service whenever possible.

What You'll Do & Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals that create an enjoyable, dignified dining experience and support residents' comfort, satisfaction, and quality of life.
• Ensure meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and attractively presented in accordance with dietary requirements and food safety standards.
• Develop positive, respectful relationships with residents by engaging with them and incorporating feedback into meal service whenever possible.

What it takes to become a Cook with Care Initiatives:
