Job summary

Care Initiatives is seeking a compassionate Cook to join our healthcare dining team. This role involves assisting with menu planning, preparing meals, and ensuring nutritional guidelines are met while supporting resident comfort and satisfaction.

Part-time schedule includes days and evenings with every other weekend. Training in Food Safety and sanitation is available, with emphasis on high-quality, compassionate care for residents.

• Ensure meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and attractively presented in accordance with dietary requirements and food safety standards.
• Develop positive, respectful relationships with residents by engaging with them and incorporating feedback into meal service whenever possible.

What it takes to become a Cook with Care Initiatives:

• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food, Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.
• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting a plus!
