Oakwood Specialty Care in Albia, IA, is seeking a compassionate Cook for a part-time role with shifts from 2pm to 8pm, and every other weekend. You will contribute to menu planning, meal preparation, and delivering nutritious, enjoyable meals that meet dietary guidelines and patient preferences.

Join a healthcare dietary team where you can apply your skills, receive training in Food Safety and Modified Diets, and build relationships with residents focused on comfort and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food, Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.
• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting a plus!

• Contribute to menu planning and meal preparation, bringing creativity and personal flair while meeting nutritional guidelines and resident preferences.
• Prepare and serve meals that create an enjoyable, dignified dining experience and support residents’ comfort, satisfaction, and quality of life.
• Ensure meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and attractively presented in accordance with dietary requirements and food safety standards.
• Develop positive, respectful relationships with residents by engaging with them and incorporating feedback into meal service whenever possible.

Schedule/ Shifts Available: Part-time 2pm-8pm with every other weekend
