Position Details

What you will do?

As the Dietary Aide/Cook you will be responsible for the planning, preparation, and delivery of food services for our residents. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Prepare meals according to standardized recipes and National School Lunch (NSL) guidelines.
  • Assist in developing daily meal rotation menus.
  • Prepare & deliver meals on time per guidelines of NSL.
  • Maintain food storage and preparation areas per standards.
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas at all times.
  • Help supervise accurate meal count documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Program Information

What you need:

To qualify you must be at least 21 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED. Additional requirements include:

  • Must be well groomed, in clean and proper clothing, and practices good personal hygiene at all times.
  • Able to communicate clearly with managers and other kitchen staff team members.
  • Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Understand and follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Able to safely and accurately handle kitchen utensils and other portioning and food preparation utensils.
