Job summary

Koelsch Communities' Northbrook Inn is seeking a skilled Cook to join our Culinary Department on a full-time basis. You will prepare and serve nutritious, appealing meals for residents and the community, following the menu and schedule.

This role requires ServSafe or Dietary Manager’s training, attention to food safety, and the ability to pass background checks. Competitive hourly wage ($20–$21) with benefits and growth opportunities within Koelsch Communities.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved Dietary Manager's Course or possess a ServSafe Food Handler's certificate.
• All requirements related to the food handlers’ certificate per state requirements.
• Knowledge of food preparation, production and plate presentation.
• Must be drug-free and submit to a drug screening upon hire and routinely.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations.
• Knowledge of special dietary needs.

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our Culinary Department at Northbrook Inn!

Full-time opportunity!

Earn between $20 and $21/hour, dependent on experience!

Multiple Shifts! SUN - TUES, 6AM - 2PM.

You enjoy providing outstanding service and producing high quality nutrition. The Cook’s role is preparing and serving attractive and tasty meals for the community.

What you'll do:

• Ensure food is prepared in a nutritional, appetizing fashion, and presented in an attractive manner per the menu and schedule
• Properly store, date, and rotate food per food handling guidelines
• Keep the environment safe and clean
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Candidates applying must have completed an approved Dietary Manager's Course or possess a ServSafe Food Handler's certificate. (Candidates without Servsafe will be considered but must receive the certificate within the first 30 days of employment)
