Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will help ensure food quality, safety, and appealing presentation while delivering excellent resident service.

The role emphasizes following recipes, dietary requirements, and maintaining a clean kitchen. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and may need a ServSafe or Food Handler certificate depending on state requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous cook/food prep experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate with occupants, staff and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must lift/carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• May need to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep kitchen clean.
• Assist with inventory management and supplies orders.
• Interact positively with residents, staff and guests; provide excellent customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
