Position: Cook/Chef

NHC Place at the Trace is looking for outstanding full-time culinarians to cook for our residents!

Work Schedule:

Morning Cook and Night Cook

Job Type:

Part Time and Full Time

Pay:

$18.00-$20.00

Experience:

Healthcare food service experience preferred but not required. Banquet/Catering and supervisor experience are also preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, ensuring quality and minimizing waste. Properly label, date, and store items using proper food handling techniques.
  2. Review menus, recipes, and production sheets; prepare and serve diets accurately and attractively, adhering to portion sizes and dietary requirements.
  3. Follow standardized recipes and special diet orders, preparing sufficient quantities for service.
  4. Test and taste foods for appearance, flavor, aroma, and temperature, making adjustments as needed.
  5. Supervise staff when needed.
