Opening the Spring of 2023!The Pillars of Lakevillebrings the best of senior care & living to the Twin Cities’ fastest-growing south metro community near Farmington. This beautiful new building will offer 100 senior apartments including independent and assisted living units as well as a carefully crafted memory care neighborhood on the first floor with a patio courtyard.

Ebenezer is looking for aCook/Chefto join our Assisted Living team at the Pillars of Lakeville. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking meals as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standard s of high quality care. Culinary position will p lat e food for optimal eye ap peal to entice food consumption by our residents in our Senior Living Community located in Lakeville, MN.

This flexible schedule culinary services position includes;

  • Casual / on call. Help fill in for shifts ahead of time and for last minute needs
  • Days and early evenings
  • Weekends as needed
Responsibilities:
  • Handles and prepares food in a safe manner following policies and infection control and safety standards.
  • Ensure timely production and meal service is provided to residents
  • Set up line service
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and work area after each use
  • Assists with special events
  • Assists Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff
  • Performs other duties as assigned and directed

Required:

  • ServSafecertification, or must be acquired within 90 days of start date
  • Basic math skills and comfortable using Microsoft applications
  • Must have good problem solving and time leadership skills
  • Good writtenand oral communication skills
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred:

  • Vocational/technical training/education/degree
  • High School Diploma/GEDpreferred
  • Cooking experience in a similar environment
  • Scratch cooking experience
