Job summary

Trinity Services Group is hiring a Cook to join our on-site kitchen within a jail/correctional facility. The role focuses on preparing hot and cold items, following recipes, and ensuring food safety standards are met.

You will work as part of a team and may cover multiple shifts, including weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of cooking experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• At least 1 year of cooking/kitchen experience in a cafeteria or large-volume facility.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience with safety procedures in a cafeteria or food service setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of food items following recipes and guidelines.
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment for shift.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers and mixers.
• Label, store and rotate products following state laws.
• Report to Food Service Director and work onsite in a jail/correctional facility.
• Collaborate with team to meet deadlines and maintain quality.
