Southfork is seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team and provide nutritious, high-quality meals to residents at Southfork. The role collaborates with the Dietary Manager to ensure resident satisfaction and dietary compliance.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, serving them with care, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and assisting with inventory. The ideal candidate has a HS diploma and prior senior-living cooking experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring food is nutritious, appetizing, and prepared according to dietary requirements and resident preferences.

• Meal Service: Ensure meals are served in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of quality, portion control, and presentation.

• Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment by following food safety and sanitation procedures. Ensure proper storage and handling of food supplies.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and quality service. Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed.

• Inventory Control: Assist with inventory management and help track food supplies. Report shortages or order needs to the Dietary Manager.

• Resident Engagement: Respond to special dietary requests and accommodate residents’ food preferences, ensuring satisfaction with meals served.

• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including safe food handling and proper sanitation practices.
