Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring nutritious, appetizing meals.
• Meal Service: Ensure meals are served promptly with high quality, portion control and presentation.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain clean, sanitary kitchen following safety procedures.
• Team Collaboration: Work with Dietary Manager and kitchen staff and assist training new staff.
• Inventory Control: Help track food supplies and report shortages to Dietary Manager.
• Resident Engagement: Accommodate dietary requests and preferences to ensure satisfaction.
• Regulatory Compliance: Follow health and safety regulations and proper sanitation practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring food is nutritious, appetizing, and prepared according to dietary requirements and resident preferences.
• Meal Service: Ensure meals are served in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of quality, portion control, and presentation.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment by following food safety and sanitation procedures. Ensure proper storage and handling of food supplies.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and quality service. Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed.
• Inventory Control: Assist with inventory management and help track food supplies. Report shortages or order needs to the Dietary Manager.
• Resident Engagement: Respond to special dietary requests and accommodate residents’ food preferences, ensuring satisfaction with meals served.
