Cook Summary:

The Cook will prepare, cook, season, and serve nutritious, attractive, and balanced meals, including meat, fish, poultry, vegetables, fruits, soups, salads, desserts, bread, and pastries, as specified by the menus. The role involves adhering to federal and state regulations as well as company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle and prepare palatable, attractive, and appetizing food
  • Serve hot food hot and cold food cold
  • Cook a variety of foods in large quantities
  • Be familiar with seasoning and cooking times
  • Follow meal schedules
  • Maintain and operate equipment and supplies
  • Work cooperatively with staff and other departments
  • Wash pots, pans, and other equipment as used

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of an 8th grade education
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and Colorado CAPS background check
