Job summary

Oak Park Place in Burlington, WI is hiring a Cook for full-time, non-exempt employment. The role involves preparing and serving nutritious meals for residents, and adhering to dietary and safety standards. Shifts run 7:00 AM–3:30 PM and 11:30 AM–8:00 PM, including every other weekend.

We offer competitive base pay ($18.25–$20.00 per hour) along with a benefits package and opportunities for growth in a supportive senior living community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of professional kitchen or food preparation experience.
• Experience working with seniors preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation rules.
• Ability to understand recipes and calculate measurements.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Portion and serve food to facility residents.
• Cook food according to menus, dietary or nutritional restrictions, and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware.
• Verify that prepared food meets quality and quantity requirements.

Requirements

Cook Qualifications
