Job summary

About the position

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Shaw AFB Youth Center.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience

Must have experience in quantity cooking and be familiar with the nutritional requirements of young children and the proper preparations of meals IA W USDA and AF regulations. Show experience to keep accurate daily records and inventories. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend for long periods of time. Must be able to satisfactorily complete the pre-employment physical. Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate and/or complete food handlers training. "This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use." A current driver's license is required. Must be able to satisfactorily complete installation, state and national criminal background checks, CPR and First Aid.
