Job summary

Avanti Senior Living at Augusta Pines in Spring, TX is seeking a Cook to join our team. You will prepare fresh ingredients, cook menu items to spec, and ensure proper temperature and quality for residents and guests.

We offer a no late nights schedule, weekly pay, a free meal while on shift, an innovative kitchen, and strong support for work-life balance. Prior kitchen experience and a passion for serving older adults are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Prior kitchen experience a big plus.
• Proficient in written and verbal English.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the older adult population.
• Must exhibit and promote high level of customer service and hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu.
• Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items in a timely manner.
• Test foods to ensure proper preparation and temperature.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and equipment.
