Era Living's University House Wallingford in Seattle is seeking a full-time Cook to join the Culinary Services team. Shifts are Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with competitive pay starting at $23.30 per hour.

You will prepare meals from planned menus, follow recipes, and ensure a memorable dining experience for residents. Eligible benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays, and more.

Era Living is seeking a full-time Cook to become the newest member of our Culinary Services team located in our University House Wallingford Community, Seattle, WA. Available shifts will be scheduled Wednesday - Saturday, 11:00AM to 7:30PM.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Cook will prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and recipes, ensuring that each resident has a memorable dining experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Culinary knowledge & ability to perform routine food service functions.

• Proven ability to follow recipe preparation instructions and specific culinary procedures

• Ability to distinguish smells, tastes and temperatures

• Ability to understand proper food storage procedures

• Ability to adhere to strict established cleanliness standards

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English

• Ability to pass DSHS background check, required

Education and Experience:

• Required:
  o First Aid and CPR certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
  o Food Handler’s Certificate or able to obtain within 14 days of hire
