Job summary

Era Living at University House Issaquah, WA, is hiring a full-time Line Cook to join our Culinary Services team. Shifts are Monday–Friday, 6:30AM–1:30PM, with competitive benefits and a focus on providing memorable dining experiences for residents.

The ideal candidate will have culinary knowledge, ability to follow recipes, maintain cleanliness, and communicate effectively in English; background check and food-safety certifications are required or obtainable quickly after hire.

Qualifications

• First Aid/CPR certification required or obtainable within 30 days of hire.
• Food Handler’s Certificate required or obtainable within 14 days of hire.

Era Living is seeking a full-time Line Cook to become the newest member of our Culinary Services team located at our University House Issaquah, WA community. Available shifts will be scheduled Monday - Friday, 6:30AM to 1:30PM.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Cook will prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and recipes, ensuring that each resident has a memorable dining experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Culinary knowledge & ability to perform routine food service functions.
• Proven ability to follow recipe preparation instructions and specific culinary procedures
• Ability to distinguish smells, tastes and temperatures
• Ability to understand proper food storage procedures
• Ability to adhere to strict established cleanliness standards
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Ability to pass DSHS background check, required

Education and Experience:

• Required:
• First Aid and CPR certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
• Food Handler’s Certificate or able to obtain within 14 days of hire
