Live Well Healthcare Solutions at Glenburnie Rehabilitation and Nursing Center seeks a talented Dietary Cook with experience in high-volume operations to join our team. You will prepare, portion, and cook nutritious meals for residents in a skilled nursing setting, following standardized recipes and plating to presentation standards.

This role requires strong kitchen sanitation, inventory support, and covering for the Dietary Manager when needed.

Qualifications

• Classically trained cook with high-volume experience.
• Prepare, portion, and cook nutritious meals following standardized recipes.
• Plate and garnish dishes for an attractive presentation.
• Support Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation standards before and after service.
• Manage inventory, rotation, purchasing support, and recipe development.
• Handle last-minute culinary requests for special events.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.

• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.

• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.

• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.

• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.

• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
