Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions at The Blossoms at the Village Rehab and Nursing Center is seeking a skilled Cook to join our dedicated dietary team. The role focuses on high-volume meal preparation, accurate portioning, and attractive plating for residents across breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.

Ideal candidates excel in following standardized recipes, maintaining sanitation, and coordinating inventory and menu planning.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume culinary operations.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes.
• Must be available to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & recipe management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities
