Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $16.00/hr

Frontier Senior Living is seeking an outstanding Cook for the Countryside Lakes community in Port Orange, Florida. Responsibilities

1. Assist Dietary Supervisor with meal preparation, production, and service lines for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
2. Prepare hot and cold items, including soups, sauces, salads, and desserts, following established recipes and standards.
3. Follow all health, safety, and infection control practices.
4. Coordinate with team members to resolve food service and care issues.
5. Manage leftovers and inventory to control costs.
6. Maintain cleanliness of work areas and breakdown service lines.
7. Engage with residents to understand their needs and provide excellent service.
8. Maintain professionalism and a customer service-oriented demeanor.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
2. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for up to eight hours.
3. Experience as an online cook or in food services preferred.
4. Formal or on-the-job training in resident care techniques.
5. Compassion for senior adults.
6. Ability to push and pull up to 30 pounds.
