Job summary

Carlton Senior Living in Pleasant Hill, CA is seeking a dedicated cook to join our team. You will prepare and cook a variety of dishes following standardized recipes, ensuring proper seasoning, doneness, and presentation while maintaining cleanliness.

This position offers flex hours with a minimum of 32 hours per week, immediate pay options, and benefits such as meals for staff and opportunities for growth within our culture of caring.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of culinary experience.
• Formal culinary training or degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes by following standardized recipes, ensuring proper seasoning, doneness, and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in kitchen areas while efficiently managing food inventory and production prep.
• Support daily kitchen operations, coordinating deliveries, and properly handling meats, produce, and baked goods.
• Support safety protocols, emergency plans, and elopement prevention practices.
• Foster a warm, collaborative atmosphere with residents, families, and team members.

What we are hiring for:

Schedule:

Flex hours, minimum 32 hours per week

Pay Range:

$19-22 per hour

What You'll Do:
