Spring Hills Lake Hunters Creek in Orlando, FL is seeking a Chef de Cuisine to lead hands-on meal preparation and support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced senior living setting.

You will collaborate with the Executive Chef on menus, supervise staff, ensure meals meet residents' dietary needs, monitor quality and portioning, and maintain health and sanitation standards while controlling food and labor costs.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; culinary degree preferred.
  • SNF/ALF experience preferred.
  • ServSafe Certification required.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of culinary experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and dietary requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and prescribed diets.
  • Follow established menus, recipes, and portion guidelines while maintaining consistency and presentation standards.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning, service flow, and resident feedback.
  • Support daily kitchen operations to ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
  • Train and guide kitchen staff on proper food preparation, safety, and service standards.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our culinary team. This role is responsible for both hands-on meal preparation and supporting the overall kitchen operations, ensuring all food is prepared with quality, consistency, and care.

Working closely with the Executive Chef, you will help lead daily kitchen functions, maintain high standards of food service, and contribute to a positive dining experience for our residents. Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (majority of shift)
  • Frequent use of hands for food preparation and kitchen tasks
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and heavier items occasionally
  • Ability to bend, reach, and perform various kitchen movements as needed
